Toronto Strip Clubs
|What are Ontario strip clubs like?||The Bone Yard (Closed Strip clubs)|
The reports of it's demise were greatly exagerated
I saw someone report that Midway Invader had been closed due to drug and alcohol violations, but when I swung by there today (Jan 14th), they were still open for business.

The Office seems to be closed
I rolled by The Office tonight to see what was going on, but they seem to be closed. There is a garbage bin out front and a generator running power inside. When I checked out their facebook page, someone had asked in November if they were still open.
They have had a couple of problems since they opened, includeing a shooting and a mysterious fire started at 4 Am.
If anyone hears anything, let me know.

Taboo Strip Club
Taboo Strip Club is a working man's hangout with a clientele similar to Hamilton Strip. The club itself is a stand alone small blue(ish) building. You would never know it was a strip club, except the new owners put up huge pictures to make intentions clear.
The inside feels like it's in a basement, instead of taking up an entire building. The ceiling is low, the area is tight and dark, with the overall feeling somewhere between cramped and cozy. (depending on how packed the place is). Overall it has an older, harder crowd. Working class guys in 30's to 40's and older retired guys grinding out the night.
Free wings with 2nd beer at Bliss Gentlemen's Club
Bliss Gentlemen's club is offering free wing's with the purchase of 2 beers. I have never really been a big eater at strip clubs, but everyone loves something free!
They also have $10.00 lap dances on Wednesdays from 4-8 which is a lot more my style. Hope to see you there Wednesday!

The two House Of Lancaster's will be offering a Holiday Party Saturday December 21, 2013. There will be free gift giveaways and a free buffet.
As an aside... has anyone else ever wondered if the girls in all the ads are actual dancers from the clubs?
Nope... the picture of the girl above is Stock footage from Istockphoto... but don't worry, the girls at the club are just a cute... although I would appreciate if one of them wore this outfit!
Sexy Santa Night
"Santa's Sexiest Helpers will be on stage to help celebrate the Festive Season"
Could go either way.... might be cheesy, but if they do it right, I'm in! (ok, ok let's face it... it's in either way... I love theme nights ;)

Luscious Thursdays at House of Lancaster
House of Lancaster is offering something called Lucisous Thursdays, which seems to be come kind of dance night.
The New Fairbank Hotel Closed
I got an email today informing me that The New Fairbank Hotel has been turned into a theatre (acting, not movie).
I can't believe how how many strip clubs we are loosing. I would have though with Canadian laws relaxing, it would be a gold mine, but aparently not.
Whiskey A Go-Go
They are well known for bringing in some of the top rated adult talent to perform live (stripping! not the good stuff...). In the past they have featured such big names as: Raylene, Devinn Lane, Jenteal, Jessica Drake, Kendra Jade, Taylor Wane, Leanna Heart and Mercedes Lynn, among others.
The bar itself it quite interesting. The feeling I got a was a high end local watering hole. Oak doors, stone facade on the inside walls, multi tiered viewing area of the stage, and a vip bottle service room all scream luxury, but the overall feeling of the place was relaxed and fun: They had a large bar where people seemed comfortable just hanging out and watching the girls. And speaking of girls, there was a high number of outside women coming in to enjoy the entertainment as well.
Midway Invader is another example of what I think of as a 'local watering hole'. This seems derogatory whenever I say it, but it's not meant to be. I think of them like the bar from 'Cheers'; a place you can go and feel comfortable, where everyone knows you name.
As usual, the bar feels like a huge warehouse that was converted to a strip club by just painting it black inside, adding lighting, a sound system and a stage... although they have gone a bit above the usual, adding a couch to the stage, along with flags of the world hanging from the ceiling (although if they are trying to denote they are multicultural, they are deceiving themselves... every girl I saw was a skinny white girl.)
Million Dollar Restaurant
The Million Dollar Restaurant seems to sit at an interesting spot between the high end clubs, and local watering holes. They have gone all out to impart a texas saloon type feeling to the club, which I find really fun.
The second floor entrance to the stage is a set of saloon doors, with a large curved brass staircase descending to the main floor. They have one of those double strip poles that are connected at the top that I love so much. I never see any girls doing anything cool with it, but my imagination runs rampant.
They keep the saloon theme throughout the entire building, the support beams are covered in wood, with carved wooden light sconces holding globe lights. All in all, a great effect.
The structure of the building seems to be where the theme ends. While I am thankful they draw the line at not playing any country music, I will admit I am a little disappointed none of the girls got into the spirit by putting on a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and ass-less chaps. I am always drawn to things that are different, and we don't have many cowgirls around Toronto.
The Airport Strip seems to have all the pieces to be my favorite club in Toronto. The deftly walk the line between enjoying the nicer things in life, and being being an inviting comfortable place to enjoy some time with friends. (some of the other high end clubs can definitely come across as snooty and pretentious).
The entire club is furnished with plush Leather couches, that are a pleasure to sit in.
The club boasts both an extensive champaign , wine and cigar list for those who enjoy the finer things in life. I was happy to see they don't gouge you for the regular stuff though, a coke runs $5.00.
The stage is probably one of the most ornate I have seen. It is decked out with roman columns, and has an extravagant feel to it.
When I first heard the old Treasures club was bought by the same people as Cannonball I was excited to say the least. I have spent a lot of my younger years in a drunk haze at their fine establishment, and wanted to see if the management could surprise me.
Unfortunately I WAS surprised when I entered the front door and heard hip hop blaring a full volume. (If you have been reading these reviews for any amount of time, you know I am a hard rock guy).
I was just getting ready to seriously dislike Cafe Atlantis out of general principle, when I took a long look around and noticed the place is amazing!
The Landing Strip
My ideal version of a strip club is one that is just starting to play the opening notes of Motley Crués "Wild Side" as you open the front door, while a bevy of girls dressed in leather, lace and school girl uniforms file past, like some kind of glorious slutty halloween parade.
This is definitely not that type of bar.
The owners of The Landing Strip are shooting for a much higher class patron than what I am used to.
I definitely can't afford to hang out at a place like this very often: Bottle service in the Vip room, the ability to get an hourly flat rate for the girls, This would be an awesome place if you had some real money... alas, I don't.
There are pool tables off to the right as you walk in, as well as a large bar to sit and chat with your friends.
The walls are covered with the usual bar paraphernalia, electric beer signs, posters, sign posts, etc. Even a balloon Zeppelin. The air has that deep fried smell of a working kitchen.
Oh yeah, an they also have naked women... although it almost seems like the bar could function without them.
I'm going to hold off on a formal review for The Office. They just opened December 4th, and it doesn't seem like they have found their groove yet. From their first advertisement, it seems like they are shooting for a younger dance club, or urban crowd (with Twerk it Tuesdays), but in the club it was an eclectic mix.
I arrived at The Office kind of late, and as I walked in they were blasting some hard metal... A very good start, but not what I was expecting.
Filmores has to have the best strip club locations in Toronto - within walking distance of Young and Dundas, they are the perfect location if you are visiting from out of town, and want to enjoy a quick stop at the Canadian Ballet.
The building itself is quite unique. Reminds me of something out of the 60's, with all the neon... I'm expecting guys with suits and hats to be coming out of the front door like in Mad Men.
I must admit I really enjoyed my visits to Filmores... While it's not my normal hangout, it's well worth the drive.
The waitress seemed more than willing to let me sit and nurse my drink while checking out the talent. While she seemed available, she was never pushy. The coke was a little on the pricey side ($7.00), but that is to be expected this close to down town.
Diamonds is a great middle of the road type bar. The drinks are reasonably priced, the club boasts some stunningly beautiful women, and they always plays a great mix of music. Not enough hard rock and roll for my taste... but if a group of guys were going out, everyone could agree this is a great compromise.
